At Google Inc. where employees with courteous canines are welcomed to bring their four-legged friends to the office, business is always booming. In addition, companies like Amazon, Facebook, Dell and thousands of other companies have discovered what many other companies are first finding out about: Dogs are good for the bottom line!

Research indicates that interaction with dogs during the work day can temporarily affect the release of various neurotransmitters in the brain; levels of oxytocin (linked with bonding) and dopamine (involved in the reward-motivation system) are increased, while cortisol levels (an immunosuppressant associated with stress) are decreased. This makes for happier, more productive employees.

In addition to adding good vibes, a Workplace Certified dog helps physically stimulate people working long shifts, assist with mental faculties by having to be attentive, and most overlooked is the fact that when we are naturally being of service to our dogs, the carry-over of wanting to be of service to clients is a natural and organic progression. If a person in a state of being of service, then all who come in contact with that person while in that state benefits.
